The savings account is where all great relationships begin at Oakland County Credit Union. All members begin with the initial $5 deposit and the window of great savings opportunities opens from there. As an owner of the Credit Union, you now have voting rights and access to everything we offer.

From a handful of dollars in the basic savings account to various levels of Money Market and Certificates of Deposit, OCCU offers numerous savings opportunities at highly competitive rates.

You can open a basic account right now.

The basic savings accounts earn interest paid and compounded each quarter. Total savings are federally insured by the NCUA, a government agency, up to $250,000 per account.

Direct Deposit

Have you signed up for Direct Deposit yet? When Direct Deposit is offered by employers, more than three-quarters of employees select it as their preferred way to get paid, due to its safety, speed and convenience.

Direct Deposit is so quick that your payroll check will typically clear sooner than if you were first in line on Friday at one of our branches! Plus you’ll never have to worry about losing it, either. Since it’s all done electronically with very secure systems, the days of thinking your check might get lost or stolen will be a thing of the past. Contact us today to learn how to enroll!

Certificates of Deposit

If you’re looking for a higher dividend rate without the risks that go along with many investments, a Certificate of Deposit (CD) might be perfect for you. Members can lock their money into five levels. You’ll earn a higher rate of return the longer you’re willing to commit to the CD and invest in a higher balance. CD terms range from six months to four years.

Money Market Accounts

Here’s an easy and safe investment tool to utilize if you want to make more interest than a basic savings account without being committed to a CD term. The tiers of the Money Market Account are based on balance alone.

The more money you put in a Money Market Account, the more you’ll earn. The first dividend level begins with your first dollar and increases after $5,000.
